Net 7

Net 7

Payment terms requiring the full invoice amount to be paid within 7 days of the invoice date.

What is Net 7?

Net 7 means payment is due within 7 days. If you send an invoice dated January 1st with Net 7 terms, payment is due by January 8th. It's one of the shorter standard payment terms, used when you need faster payment or when working with clients who prefer quick turnaround.

When to use Net 7

Net 7 terms work well for:

  • Small jobs — Quick projects that don't justify longer payment windows
  • New clients — Before you've established trust and payment history
  • Cash flow needs — When you need money quickly to cover upcoming expenses
  • High-risk clients — Clients with past slow payment patterns

Comparing payment terms

Net 7 is faster than most alternatives. Net 15 gives clients two weeks, Net 30 gives a month. Due on Receipt expects immediate payment. Choose terms that balance your cash flow needs with what's reasonable for your clients and industry norms.
